One more post of Greece pictures. Wow…Greece was a really great time! Fun and relaxing!
These pics are from Syros and Patmos. I was on Syros, the “capital island” of the islands, for 3 days and on Patmos for 1 day.
Syros was pure fun and relaxation. I think I spent more time at the beach than I’ve ever spent consecutively before…just reading and enjoying the beautiful weather. I also had a blast riding my scooter all over the island.
Patmos was great because of it’s Biblical connections – being the place where St. John wrote the book of Revelation.
After Patmos, I took a ferry to Kos and immediately (like 17 minutes later) was able to buy a ticket and take a ferry to Bodrum, Turkey.

Poros was the first island that I went to. It was perfect. We had a great group and the island’s attitude was just right. During the days we hit the beach or rode our scooters. At night we went into the town of Naousa and hit of a restaraunt or night club.
We rented to side by side apartments with kitchens…and that worked out well. We made a few of the meals together and that was a blast!
Unfortunately, I left a day earlier than the others to keep heading towards Turkey. But the time we spent together was fabulous! Take care Marcus, Sindy, Marlene, and Laurel!!

Athens, Greece - Acropolis & Ruins· Sep 20, 10:12 AM
Hi y’all!
My time in Athens was short but sweet! I spent some time at the Acropolis – an amazing site – as well as a few other ruins. Then, after two days, I took off for the island of Poros with a few friends from the hostel.

Good Morning All!
Just got to Athens, Greece. I’m now 7 hours ahead of East Coast USA….and I’ve got another alphabet to figure out – Latin, Cyrillic, Greek…when’s it gonna end?! :)
I’m pretty tired – just got off a rough night train from the north…but just wanted to let you know where I’m at. I plan to be in Athens for 2 days…then some islands…and on to Turkey.
