Off to Odessa...· Sep 29, 08:42 AM

Hi Everyone!

I got a few more pics posted for Greece… And now that I’m heading off to Ukraine in 2 hours, I’m only one country behind! Hopefully internet access will be readily available in Ukraine and I can get all caught up!

Well, two days ago Jen flew back to the states after a fabulous week visiting me here in Turkey. We spent most of our time in Istanbul, but did take a trip out to the Aegean coast to see the ruins at Ephesus and get some beach time. It was really good to see her and get to spend time together after only 7 weeks away!

We also got to spend an evening with Monica and Lauren from church…who are in Istanbul this week on vacation. Quite nice! We watched a whirling dervish and wandered through the Spice Bazaar.

Today, I thought I’d have a ton of time…but ended up going to a Turkish bath this morning…and getting a wicked massage from a big mustached man. Excellent! Quite relaxing.

So after a bit of internet…I’ve got to buy a newspaper or two and walk down to the port to catch my ferry to Odessa. I’ll be on the ferry, crossing the Black Sea, for two nights…arriving on Saturday around noon.

In Ukraine I’ll be seeing some sights then heading up to hopefully help out at an orphanage in Kiev. You can check it out at www.safehaveninternational.org. Hopefully I’ll be able to spend a while there.

Well, I’m missing you all back home! Hope you’re enjoying the fall season and all the good stuff that goes with it. I’m moving north myself… soon I’ll have to buy myself a jacket!

Take care,
Nate
